Sleep and Weight Loss

Experts say that if you want to lose weight then you need to get enough sleep.  Researchers have reported that women who sleep 5 hours or less per night tend to weigh more  than women who sleep 7 hours per night.  Inadequate sleep can have a variety of effects on the metabolism and overall health.  When you don’t get enough sleep it can cause:  increased blood pressure, can increase the risk of heart disease, interferes with the body’s ability to metabolise carbs,  can cause  high levels of glucose in your blood, and can cause greater body-fat storage.  Getting your rest can play apart in your weight loss.   You will feel better overall and catching your ZZZ’s will help you look your best.
